Bjorn Franke is a sports photographer and entrepreneur based in Minneapolis. A triplet and a recent graduate at the University of Minnesota, he earned his degree in Entrepreneurial Management while building two ventures—Bjorn Franke Photography and his hockey lace startup, Gator Lace.

Bjorn worked with Gopher Athletics as the Student Photographer for the University of Minnesota throughout all four years of college, an experience that shaped his growth both creatively and professionally. He has also photographed for the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), capturing game action and social content for the organization during its first and second seasons.

He currently serves as the League Photographer for Da Beauty League, covering NHL, AHL, and NCAA athletes during the summer. His work has been featured by ESPN, Bleacher Report, and the NHL, and in 2023, he was named a finalist in the World Sports Photography Awards.

Bjorn is now a Photography Intern with the Buffalo Sabres for the 2025-2026 season, where he captures games, events, and promotional content to support the team’s media and storytelling efforts. This role has expanded his sports photography experience at the NHL level while continuing to grow his creative and professional skills.

He is also part of the photography team for the Buffalo Bills, covering game days and select promotional events.

Outside of photography, Bjorn enjoys running, stargazing, and traveling.
